- 1). Hook up the CO2 to the keg. First, attach the CO2 regulator to the actual tank of CO2. This will regulate the amount of CO2 that should be delivered to the keg. (Depending on the type and of amount of beer, this will differ. Read the instructions on the keg to find out how much CO2 should be in use.) Hook the regulator to the CO2 line; a plastic tube that will send the CO2 into the keg. Attach the other end of the line into the input valve on the keg.
- 2). Tap the keg. To do so, place the keg tap into the actual keg, which will reside on the top of the keg. Run the beer line from the keg tap to the beer faucet where you will be pouring the beer. The beer faucet can be anything from a small hand-held nozzle to a full-size pull-handle pouring system.
- 3). Place the keg in the refrigerator and close the door. This will keep the keg chilled while it is in use. Open the beer faucet to pour a test glass of beer. If the system is not working properly, check the various hoses to make sure they are not leaking.
