How to File a Complaint Against a Property Manager

    • 1). File a complaint using U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's online form. See "HUD Online Form" in Resources below for more information. Turn of all pop-up blockers to access the form.

    • 2). Call HUD's toll-free number to file a complaint over the phone : 1-800-669-9777.

    • 3). Print out HUD's form, complete it, and mail it to: Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity, Department of Housing and Urban Development, Room 5204, 451 Seventh St. SW, Washington, DC 20410-2000. See "HUD Print Form" in Resources below for more information. Turn of all pop-up blockers to access the form.

    • 4). Make a 311 complaint against your property manager. Call 311 to file a discrimination complaint, a maintenance problem, unsafe living conditions, or any violations of housing laws.
