Peggy Sue Overview:

Peggy Sue, an American-style diner in the restaurant and bar-packed Batel district in Curitiba, serves burgers, nachos and even a chili dog and a BLT.

One of the house's most praised offerings, Buddy's Favorite, takes cheddar cheese, which in Brazil is mostly found as a cheese spread. You could opt for the Fats Domino or the Mustang Sally (a chicken burger), both of which are made with prato cheese - a semi-hard, yellow star of Brazilian dairy.

Be Light! selections include three kinds of wraps (only one, the Avocado, is vegetarian) and a Caesar's salad.

A restaurant inspired in Buddy Holly's song "Peggy Sue" does well in having a jukebox.

The whole Peggy Sue setting evokes the 1950s, thanks to details such as black and white floors, red walls, Coca-Cola posters and other props.

Peggy Sue is part of a complex created by restaurateur Gustavo Haas which also includes adjacent Sheridan's and Taco El Pancho.
