- 1). Unplug the end of the HotSync cable from your Tungsten E2 device. Firmly press the cable back into your Tungsten E2 device to make sure it is connected.
- 2). Unplug the USB-end of the HotSync cable from the USB slot on your computer to make sure it isn't loose. Palm recommends waiting until the Tungsten E2 is fully reconnected before attempting to HotSync again.
- 3). Check the Windows taskbar for the HotSync Manager application symbol. If you do not see it, restart the Manager.
- 4). Attempt to use HotSync again.
- 1). Click the HotSync Manager symbol in the Windows taskbar. Click "Local USB" if it does not have a check next to it.
- 2). Press the "Power" button on the top right side of your Tungsten E2. Press "Prefs" with the stylus. Press "Date and Time." Verify that the date is correct and matches the date on your computer. Press "Done" when you are finished, and then press the "Home" icon.
- 3). Press "HotSync," and choose "Local."
- 1). Remove your Palm's stylus.
- 2). Turn over your Palm Tungsten E2 so you can see the back of the device. Locate the small button inside a hole near the bottom of the Palm.
- 3). Press the stylus into the hole. Release it once you've pressed the button inside. Your Palm will restart.
- 4). Attempt to sync your Palm once it has fully restarted.
