- 1). Launch PowerPoint and open the desired presentation.
- 2). Review all of the slides as thumbnail images by clicking the "Slide Sorter" button (icon with four squares) on the lower left corner of the window (on PowerPoint 2007, this button is located on the lower right). Alternatively, select "Slide Sorter" under "View" in the top menu bar.
- 3). Press and hold the "Control" key and press the "A" button to select all slides.
- 4). Select "Slide Transition" under "Slide Show" in the top menu bar and select the type of slide transition from the directory of options (such as "Wipe Right").
- 5). Click the box next to "On mouse click" to deselect the option. Click the box next to "Automatically after" to select automatic slide transitions and type the number of seconds in the corresponding field.
- 6). Click the "Apply to all slides" button.
- 7). Review each animation on each slide and change the animation from "On mouse click" to play "With Previous" or "After Previous" to enable automatic playback. Select "Custom Animation" under "Slide Show" in the top menu bar to display the Animation frame for easy access to settings while reviewing each slide.
- 8). Select "Package for CD" under "File" in the top menu bar and create a new destination folder on your desktop. Click the "Save" button to copy associated multimedia files to this packaged presentation folder, along with the presentation. Note: select the "Pack and Go" function under "File" in PowerPoint 2002 instead of "Package for CD;" Mac users select this function as "PowerPoint Package."
