- You may experience a burning feeling or a general feeling of discomfort at the beginning, end or throughout urination.
- You may need to urinate much more often than usual; this need may be accompanied by a strong feeling of urgency. After you go, you may almost immediately feel like you need to urinate again.
- Although you may constantly feel as if your bladder is full, you may only expel a small amount of liquid during urination.
- You might experience pain or pressure in your lower abdomen, in the area around your bladder.
- You may see blood in your urine.
- If left untreated, a bladder infection can spread to the kidneys and cause a serious infection. High fever, back pain, nausea or vomiting may be signs of a kidney infection. If you believe you might have a kidney infection, seek medical attention immediately.
