Choosing the correct size TV cabinet seems like an easy task, but there are a lot of things to think about.
Of course, you want it to actually fit your TV, so let's talk about that first.
You want to measure the height, width and depth of your TV, adding an inch or so to each measurement so that your TV doesn't fit too snugly.
Also take into account anything you may want to place on top or underneath your TV, such as sensors for game systems and things of this nature.
When you have found the correct size cabinet for your actual TV, you need to think about all the cable boxes, game systems, DVD players, sound systems and other related equipment that you want to place in that same cabinet, and make sure it can fit all of those things as well.
Once you have figured this out, measure your wall space where you want the cabinet to go.
You want to make sure there is enough space, and then some, on that to accommodate your new cabinet.
You also want to figure out how deep the cabinet can be before it interferes with traffic paths or other furniture pieces.
If there are doors on the cabinet, which there usually are, you want to make sure there is ample room for these to open and close.
Check the angles that you will be watching TV from to ensure that the cabinet you get allows you to see the screen properly from these angles.
