Upload your beautiful fall images to your computer. - 2). Open Photoshop and open the image of your choice
- 3). Go to the “Filter” tab at the top of your toolbar
- 4
Go to "Brushstrokes and Accented Edges" to give your image a funky graphic look. This is especially nice when working with a photo of trees or leaves, where you have a lot of lines and edges. - 5
Apply the "Inked Outline" filter from the "Brushstrokes" sub category to make your image a bit more darkly defined. This finished image would make a terrific autumn greeting card to share with friends. - 6
Go to "Stylize" and then "Glowing Edges" to make a highly graphic image perfect for iron – on decals you can apply to bags or t-shirts. The lines of autumn trees, leaves and even scarecrows or fall grasses make the Glowing Edges filter highly successful. - 7
Try the "Emboss filter" under the "Stylize" tab to create a unique almost fossil-like image. Print out on 5 by 7-inch photo paper and matte with a black matte for a cool conversation piece. - 8
Use the Watercolor filter under the Artistic sub-tab to create a more traditional look with your image. Crop your image or highlight just one aspect of your original photo to create a new look with the same photo. - 9). Play around with the other filters available to you. Save your new images by going to "File", "Save a Copy As", and adding the filter you used to the original title of the photograph. This will help insure that you don’t lose your original piece and can keep track of filters you like the best.
