Music and cinema lovers can nothing but know and appreciate the artistic genius of Ennio Morricone, Italian musician and author of some among the most beautiful soundtracks for movies which made history in the Italian and International movies.

In his carrier as musician, conductor and composer, Morricone realized more than 500 sound-tracks for movies, 30 of which were written for American western movies; his personal and absolutely original style is illustrated in the sound-track for The Good, the bad and the ugly directed by Sergio Leone, director with which he had a worthwhile cooperation.

Ennio Morricone is internationally well-known and during his long carrier he obtained important awards, among which also the Polar Music Prize in 2010. Despite the fact that he begun to write music for films already in 1955, he started to exhibit live ten years ago, with concerts all around the world.

Soon will start Ennio Morricones new Italian tour, called TEN 2002-2012, in honour of the first ten years of the artists live concerts. Even the location for the opening of the tour makes reference to his carrier: on the 28th of September 2002 Ennio Morricone was right in the Arena of Verona, for his first concert.

Beyond being the place for its first concert, the Arena of Verona is also the biggest place in which he had ever performed; since 2002 the live exhibitions have been more than 200 and were made in the main cities and squares of Europe and of the world: the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Theatre in Tienanmen Square in Beijing, San Marco square in Venice, alla Scala Theatre in Milan, Poland, Japan, Spain, Greece, Australia, Moscow, Mexico, Chile, are just some of the places in which he performed during the last years.

Ennio Morricone summer tour will begin the 25th of August 2012, when the Maestro will be in Rimini, in Federico Fellini Square, for the show called Beauty will save us, dedicated to the celebration of his most appreciated songs. The 8th of September at 9 p.m. in I May Square in Udine there will be a preview of the Tour TEN 2002-2012 which will be a real exclusive event.

During the tour the bands which will play with Maestro will be Sinfonietta Rome Orchestra- which has been collaborating for years with Morricone both for live performances and studio recordings- and the extraordinary RAI Symphonic Orchestra, while the chorus will be Verona Lyric Symphonic Chorus, Roman Lyric Symphonic Chorus and Claudio Casini Chorus from Tor Vergata Univeristy of Rome.
