- 1). Sleep with a pair of nylon pantyhose over your hair every night to keep frizz to a minimum. Make your nylon nightcap by cutting the legs off of a pair of pantyhose.
- 2). Avoid getting your dreads wet or using any moisturizing hair products, such as conditioners, for at least a week.
- 3). Gather frizzies together on each dread. Ball the loose pieces of frizzy hair together. Work each ball of frizzy hair into the center of the nearest dread. Press the balls of hair in tight and tie into the dreads if possible.
- 4). Apply dreadlock hair wax to the uncooperative frizzy pieces of hair that won't stay in the dreadlock. Dreadlock hair wax can be purchased at salons, beauty supply stores or online.
