How to convert EDB to PST when EDB files get corrupted

Microsoft Exchange Server is one of the most powerful and reliable tool which provides a better communication error. For every user there is a different mailbox which is accessed by the users itself. Like other database they also get destroyed and the EDB file becomes totally unusable and data get lost. Now to make these files accessible one need to repair the EDB file by performing EDB to PST conversion using perfect EDB to PST converter software.

Exchange of Database usually gets corrupted due to following reasons: -

  • JET engine errors

  • Due to Virus attacks

  • Exchange Server Error Code 528

  • Hardware Failure Errors

  • Server failure or Crash

  • File Header Corruption

All these utilities tools convert the EDB to PST file and extract the mailbox in .PST file format. During severe corruption these tools also fail. MS Exchange servers database face several errors. These errors create loads of trouble and the work also gets hampered. This leads to a trouble in opening of a database files. When the user fails to open the database file one often see the following error:-

Description: Process name [process id] file name: An attempt to open the file [path\file name] for read-only access failed with [Error Code and Explanation]. The open file operation will fail with error [-1022].

For handling the above errors, verification of the permission of the EXCHSRVR folder should be done. System must be assured that it must have all the sub-folders and EXCHSRVR containing Exchange data.

If the database cannot be mounted, the trouble shooting of Windows NT file-level anti virus software must be done which is running on the Exchange Server. The log for the drive of input/output error must be checked. The path for the check file must be verified and corrected. The root cause must also be corrected and an updated back up must be retrieved.
