How to Add an SSL Port

    • 1). Launch Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager from the Start menu. It is located under the "Administrative Tools" folder under "All Programs." You will need to log in to a PC server computer to access this tool.

    • 2). Expand your organization tree at the upper-left corner of the program. Locate the website object/folder where you want to add an SSL port. Right-click on it and select "Properties." Click on "Advanced" under "Website Identification."

    • 3). Hit "Add" to add an additional SSL port. Type "443" (without the quotes) under "Secured Port." You will find this under the subheading "Multiple identities for this Web site." Hit "OK."

    • 4). Hit the tab labeled "Directory Security." Click on "Edit" under the subheading "Secure communications." Place a checkmark next to "Require secure channel (SSL)." Hit "OK" to end task.
