- 1). Click "Start" and "Control Panel."
- 2). Select the Control Panel section called "Network and Internet Connections." Click "Network Connections" in this sub-menu. Right-click your network interface card and choose "Properties."
- 3). Select "Advanced." Check the box labeled "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection." Click "OK."
- 4). Go back to the Network Connections menu. Right-click your wireless network controller and choose "Properties." Select "Wireless Networks." Press the "Add" button. Go to the "Association" tab and create a name for your Wi-Fi hotspot.
- 5). Choose "This is a computer-to-computer (ad hoc) network" and uncheck "The key is provided for me automatically." Select the "Open" option under network authentication. Select a data encryption method.
- 6). Create a password for your wireless hotspot network. Click "OK" twice. Your Wi-Fi hotspot is up, running and available for other computers to use your Verizon 3G connection.
