Let me ask you something about exercise.
Do you feel embarrassed or self-aware when you are exercising and there are people around you.
Do you feel like all eyes are on you? I do and that's probably why I stop going to the gym.
I am overcoming the fear of exercising around other people.
Today I took the dog for a work along the Mt Vermon waking track.
It was a nice day but there where heaps of fitness freaks doing there daily workouts, now this is when I start to lose my confidence and give up.
It's really hard to keep motivated.
I feel like I stand out as the sloppy unfit type.
Today was different it occurred to me that I don't need to feel embarrassed about being unfit.
When you exercise you brain dumps endorphins, without getting to technical stuff this is a chemical that makes you feel happy.
Now people get addicted to going to the gym and exercising because it makes them feel good and people that do lots of exercise need to do more and more hard core workouts to get this release of endorphins.
So what accord to me today is I only need to go for a 5minit brisk work usually up a small hill to get the same effect as say someone who is really fit.
They may need 45mints of hardcore exercise.
There it is you are better off.
Sure they may look great and good on them.
It's really not about being super fit and having abs it's about being comfortable with you.
