- 1). Go to one of three Fulton County locations to file your claim (see Resources).
- 2). Ask the magistrate clerk for a small claim form.
- 3). Fill out the form by including the full name and address of the person or business you're suing, the amount of money you're suing for and the reason you're suing.
- 4). Return the completed form and filing fee to the magistrate clerk. As of November, 2010 the filing fee is $74.50.
- 5). Collect all your evidence and prepare your statement, or what you want to say, while waiting for your trial.
- 6). Appear at the trial on time with all your evidence and any witnesses.
