It's a hectic Tuesday evening.
Five-year-old Lava had to complete a lot of homework.
She is not a small kid.
She's a responsible U.
K.
G.
girl.
Lava takes so much pride for she is much taller and stronger than other girls in her class and neighborhood.
Of-course she is beautiful too.
She had still not attained the point to admire her own beauty.
After completing her homework assignments Lava came running to her mother and inquisitively enquired " Mama, How come I am so healthy, taller and stronger.
" Now her compassionate mom replied with a tinge of shy, kissing Lava " Lava darling, I was breast-feeding you for 2 years.
So its natural that you are healthy.
" Lava ran back to the hall, switched on the Television set to start quenching her intellect hunger, typical of that age.
The remote control device experienced the tender touches of the little girl and responded aptly.
It repeatedly changed the signal from a music channel to sports and then to a cartoon channel.
Lava watched the cartoon part for 10 minutes, till there was an advertisement break.
" I hate this ad", she screamed and changed the channel again randomly.
A lady doctor was addressing in this channel and it did not take a long time for our intelligent baby to understand that it is about breast-feeding.
The doctor articulated, "The first three days of breastfeeding supplies the newborn with the essential antibiotics and hence increases the immunity of the child.
So mothers must ensure they breast-feed their children as long as possible.
There is absolutely no substitute for mother's milk.
Mothers can feed their child up to 2 years and for that they need to eat and think healthy.
" The lecture continued for a while.
Lava was carefully observing the speech, even though a great deal of the content was beyond the scope and comprehension of a little girl.
Lava ran to her bedroom and picked her favorite doll and slotted the doll close to her chest and commanded innocently " My dear kola, drink! If you drink this for 2 years, you will also be stronger and taller like me.
" Motherhood presents everyone with the greatest love.
Whether it's an umbilical cord or a breast, it always would remind the greatest attachment.
Mothers are not just creators; they take so much pride and possession of their creation.
Motherhood is the greatest stage in the life of a woman.
Long live Motherhood and Mothers!
