Roadside Assistance

Driving home from work one day (prior to cell phones) I got a flat tire. The road I was on was nothing but miles of agriculture on both sides. I was recently thrown into the role of newly divorced and never changed a tire in my life but had watched my ex do it and it "seemed" easy.

I opened the trunk and tried to pull out the spare but it was too heavy for me to even lift, when I suddenly turned and there was a man who walked up next to me wearing a mechanic's jumpsuit!

He asked if I needed help and I said of course said "yes."

Without one word he changed my tire and returned the jack to my truck. I grabbed my purse to pay him for his kindness, but he already had started walking away and continued walking down the road. There were no mechanic businesses or gas stations nearby -- just fields of vegetable fields.

It was then that I remembered that my friend, Jackie, had laid hands and prayed over my car a few months before when I was having lots of car trouble. The Lord heard her prayers and I never had trouble with that '70 Impala since. I did have two more flat tire incidents after that in different places, and at each incident, "someone" appeared to change it for me.
