The idea behind enrichment is to make yourself better and to learn something. It may be educational enrichment and learning more about a specific topic or a spiritual enrichment. Spiritual enrichment parties are held by some churches and religions, as a way for the members to learn more about themselves and others. Both types of enrichment are suitable and have a role in birthday party ideas. - Take the party away from the house and host it a local museum or similar business. Check with science museums, art museums, history museums, historic farms and science centers. Many offer birthday party packages that include admission to the attraction and other features, such as a set meeting room to host the actual party. Others includes features specifically meant for party guests of a certain age. A science center might offer experiments for kids, while a farm offers older kids the chance to work with animals or see how chores are performed around the farm. The party guests enrich their minds by learning more about a specific topic, while enjoying themselves at the same time.
- Use your enrichment party to host a quiz bowl, where guests are quizzed in different topics that cover their knowledge and experience. Tailor the subjects to the interests of the guest of honor or to the group as a whole. If the group is from a specific church, ask questions about the history of their religion, the history of the church building and even the history of important members of the church.
Divide the guests into small groups and award points based on each correct answer. Or divide each subject into different point amounts, based on the difficulty of the question. The groups get points for each correct answer, with the questions having different point amounts. Groups have the advantage of having different team members with different specialties and areas of expertise. - A spiritual enrichment birthday party focuses on forming a deeper connection between the guests and their spirituality, as well as forming a better relationship with each other. Keep things simple by creating a list of questions about faith and spirituality. Ask the guests to discuss those questions with each other. You can also arrange to have a speaker talk to the group first and then open up the end of the party to discuss what they learned or how they felt about the talk.
