When was the last time that you opened a pack of trading cards and thoroughly enjoyed each and every card in the pack regardless of value?
Well, 2005 Topps All-Time Fan Favorites baseball brings back that thrill 24 times in a sealed hobby box. Fan Favorites combines ?cards that never were? with certified autographs, new pictures to old designs, game-used relics and three tiers of refractor parallels.
Each hobby box of Fan Favorites contains, on average, two certified autographs, one game-used relic and one refractor parallel. Some enhancements over past Fan Favorites sets include gold refractor parallels serial-numbered to 25 and autograph refractors serial-numbered to just 10 copies!
Even Barry Bonds makes an appearance in this years set, lending his ?John Hancock? to 15 beauties, albeit redemption, to create the single most valuable Fan Favorites autograph to date.
In addition, Topps included dual and triple-autographs including dual autographed rookie cards and triple-autographed League Leaders cards, both serial-numbered to various amounts.
Fan Favorites even includes some notable baseball brethren that have never had a certified autographed card, let alone a baseball card, including Marvin Miller, Walt Jocketty, Michael Kay, Dr. James Beckett and Theo Epstein.
The Epstein has been going for big bucks on eBay, with copies closing in the $140-150 range. The Beckett ?graph has been selling for $60-70 consistently, as well.
There are even individual rookie cards of players originally included on dual or triple-rookie cards, including Nolan Ryan and Tom Seaver.
In our hobby box, we pulled autographs of Jim Lonborg and Duke Snider as well as a serial-numbered relic of Bruce Sutter and a refractor of Barry Bonds.
Hobby boxes of 2005 Topps All-Time Fan Favorites contain 24 sealed packs and one box-topper, and have been consistently selling in the $100 range.
Regardless of what you pull, this is one product that will give you hours of enjoyment as you pour over every single card in the box.
