How to Install a Keyless Entry in an Auto

    • 1). Place the key into the ignition cylinder and turn the key from the "Off" position to the "On" position a total of 8 times in 10 seconds. When done correctly, the doors lock and unlock on their own to indicate the vehicle has entered "programming mode."

    • 2). Press any button on the remote you are programming to the vehicle within 20 seconds of the vehicle entering "programming mode." The remote sends out a signal that the vehicle detects and the two then sync together. Repeat this for every remote you want to program to the car. The doors lock and unlock to indicate the remote has been programmed to the vehicle.

    • 3). Turn the ignition to the "Off" position to exit "programming mode." Exiting programming mode is important to prevent someone else from programming a remote to your car and gaining keyless entry access.
