How to Reset Procedure for 2006 Chevy Malibu Antitheft System

    • 1). Stand outside the vehicle with the keyless entry remote. Press and hold both the lock and unlock buttons of the remote at the same time.

    • 2). Release the lock and unlock buttons once the horn honks and the lights flash briefly.

    • 3). Insert the ignition key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position. Do not start the engine.

    • 4). Allow the ignition to remain in the "ON" position for 30 seconds.

    • 5). Start the engine and verify that the security light is not illuminated. The antitheft system is now reset.
