- The 2003 4WD Chevy Silverado comes in multiple extended-cab versions. The Silverado 1500 comes with a long or short bed, as does the Silverado 2500. The 3500 is only available with a long bed.
- Every extended-cab Silverado provides seating for six with 41 inches of headroom in the front. Rear headroom in the 2500 is 38.4 inches in most models. Front legroom is 41.3 inches, while rear legroom measures 33.7 inches in most models.
- Silverado 1500s are designated as half-ton trucks. The 2500 three-quarter-ton trucks are designed for heavier workloads and have larger engines. The full-ton versions, the 3500s, are available with the same engine as some 2500 models.
- The Silverado 1500 has less horsepower than the 2500 and 3500. Size is also a difference between models. The 3500 is significantly wider than other models to accommodate dual-tires on each side of the rear axle.
- All available engines are V-8s that range in displacement (size) from 4.8 liters to 6 liters. Features such as AM/FM CD players, power door locks and windows and anti-lock brakes are standard on all models.
