- 1). Lay the ceiling tile on a work table with the back side facing up, and place a ruler on the tile with the edge of the ruler along opposite corners of the tile. Draw a line along the edge of the ruler. Lay the ruler on the other two corners, and draw another line. The middle of the X is the center of the tile.
- 2). Measure the diameter of the pipe with your ruler and add 1/16 inch to determine the size of the hole.
- 3). Divide the hole size by 2. Put the needle point of your drawing compass on the zero of your ruler. Spread the compass until the pencil point is on the measurement that equals half the hole diameter.
- 4). Place the point of your compass on the intersection of the X on the tile. Rotate the compass 360 degrees, creating a circle on the tile the size of the hole.
- 5). Drill a pilot hole centered on the intersection of the X with a bit that is 1/8 inch larger than the blade on the saw.
- 6). Cut from the pilot hole to the circle outline with the saw. Follow the circle until the material is removed.
- 7). Insert the BlazeMaster pipe into the center hole of the tile, and connect it to the BlazeMaster sprinkler system.
