American Idol Judging

American Idol is a super reality show on Fox TV.
Contestants from all over the world fly to the United States, all in an effort to make it big in the music industry.
It is amazing to discover how many people think they can sing and make it big in the music business when they cannot even carry a tune.
Once contestants on American Idol are picked, they perform each week before a live audience.
After each performance they are evaluated by the judges on the panel.
Once all the contestants are judged, the public then calls or texts in their votes.
If a contestant cannot sing: or are unpopular with the general public, there is a pretty good chance the public will vote them off the show.
Without the support of American Idol's fans, a contender really has no chance of winning the music contract awarded at the end of the season.
Many people who audition for the show do so for the fifteen minutes of fame and popularity.
However, money and making it big is by far the main goal contestants have on American Idol.
There are usually four judges that work on the show to critique the performances of the evening.
In the past: American Idol has had at least one judge that had a particularly harsh opinion of most of the performances.
Everyone knows Simon Cowell, the ruthless, outspoken, brutally honest judge that loves to be hated on American Idol.
Although he was brash and sometimes downright mean, his opinions carried a lot of weight.
Simon had such a strong influence on the public's point of view that contestants on Idol held their breath in hopes of a favorable assessment of their performance.
American Idol is a very entertaining show.
It gives wonderful opportunities to many young adults.
It also offers Idol's audiences a chance to sit back in their living rooms and marvel at the raw talent.
In addition it gives the viewers time to unwind and laugh after a hard day at work.
All in all, the show has proven to be a huge hit and has made millions.
