The product I use to clear an individual pimple in one night is called Proactiv Advanced Blemish Treatment.
This treatment contains 6% Benzoyl Peroxide.
What You Are Going to Need: You're going to need a pretty high concentration of Benzoyl Peroxide.
6% is what I like to use, but some people like to use a higher concentration and some people use a lower concentration.
You Should Only Use this as a Spot Treatment: As an important note, you should know that this shouldn't be used all over your face.
High concentrations of benzoyl peroxide can cause severe skin irritation.
A study done back in the 80's or 90's proved that 2.
5% benzoyl peroxide is the most effective in treating acne with minimal side effects.
Higher concentrations of benzoyl peroxide treated acne just as well, but there were more negative side effects involved.
Follow Your Routine, and Apply the Spot Treatment Last: Now, you'll want to follow your regular acne wash routine.
When you've completed your routine you'll want to apply your new 6% Benzoyl Peroxide product to the specific pimple you're trying to get rid of.
Leave a small dime of the Benzoyl Peroxide on your pimple overnight.
When you wake up in the morning your pimple should be gone.
If it's not gone, it will hopefully be a lot smaller.
In some cases, if the pimple hasn't come to a complete whitehead, it may take a little longer to get rid of.
As long as you're persistent with your topical treatment, you're going to quickly see that if a zit does come on, it's going to go away much more quickly than it would if you weren't using your treatment.
A Few Extra But Very Important Tips:
- Never wash your face more than twice a day.
- If your skin becomes dry, be sure to apply moisturizer to your face.
Any product that contains numbers above 2.
5% will work quite well when it comes to getting rid of your acne.
However, it all really depends on the person.
My recommendation to you would be to try different products and see what works best for you.
