Despite its stunning beaches and cool blue waters, the Caribbean is a place with much poverty and destitution. People from around the world travel to the Caribbean on mission trips in order to help these island nations and their people. There are a variety of short-term mission trips people can take to the Caribbean. - Founded in 1990, Caribbean Lifetime Missions organizes and hosts dozens of mission trips each year. These missions are short-term missions that allow people of all walks of life to participate in mission trips. One trip that is very popular at Caribbean Lifetime Missions is their mission trip to Jamaica. This seven-day visit allows visitors to participate in construction or painting activities, as well as organizing Vacation Bible Schools and visiting schools and orphanages. This trip costs between $500 and $700.
