How to Appeal a Camera Ticket

    • 1). Follow the instructions on the camera ticket. This means appearing at court on the date listed on the ticket.

    • 2). Write down the facts of your camera ticket appeal. Make copies of your evidence before submitting it to the court. Send everything certified mail with delivery confirmation to ensure its arrival.

    • 3). Go before a judge in the areas where contesting tickets by mail isn't allowed. Bring proof that you weren't breaking the traffic law, your car was stolen or another person is responsible for the ticket. Contact witnesses and bring them to court with you.

    • 4). Appeal the court's decision by contacting the traffic court clerk and inquiring about the process. Each state has a different appeals process. Follow the instructions given to have your appeal heard.
