Homemade Face Toner

    Homemade Chamomile Face Toner

    • Chamomile

Many people drink chamomile tea, which is actually a flowering plant closely related to the daisy. Chamomile offers many health benefits including the promotion of healthy skin. A homemade chamomile face toner soothes your skin and provides a nice aromatherapy treat as well. Chamomile fights inflammation, such as puffy skin under your eyes, and can alleviate facial muscle fatigue that makes your face look tired and aged.

To make chamomile face toner, boil one-half cup of distilled water. Steep a chamomile tea bag in the water for five minutes. Allow the tea to cool and pour it into a lidded glass bottle. Apply the homemade toner to your face with a cotton ball and allow it to dry. Do not rinse the toner away.

    Homemade Apple Honey Face Toner

    • Honey and Apple

An apple a day may or may not keep the doctor away, but apples do contain alpha hydroxy acids, which help exfoliate dead, dry skin cells leaving fresh, glowing skin. Honey is good for your face as well. It is loaded with antioxidants, which help remove free radicals that can cause skin damage and wrinkles. Honey also acts as an anti-inflammatory and will reduce puffiness.

Make a face toner with apple and honey. Peel and core a medium apple. Dice the apple and combine it with a tablespoon of honey in a blender. Puree the honey and apple until you have a thick liquid. Apply the homemade toner to your face and allow it to stand for up to fifteen minutes. Rinse the toner away and discard any remaining toner.

Homemade Apple Cider Vinegar Face Toner

    • Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar fights acne and restores the proper level of acidity to your skin. It can also help heal skin disorders such as psoriasis or dry, itchy skin. If you forgot to wear your sunscreen and have a sunburn on your face, apple cider vinegar will help alleviate pain, blisters and peeling skin.

Make a face toner using apple cider vinegar by combining equal parts apple cider vinegar and distilled water in a lidded bottle. Shake the toner well and apply it to your face with clean cotton balls. Allow the toner to dry completely and do not rinse it away.
