I mean, the French actress Eva Green who stars in 300 Rise of an Empire.
She wanted to become an actress after watching the film Story of Adele H. She is a sensitive and quiet female but you wouldn't know it. When she is not working she collects skulls and insects!! She keeps a low profile until it is time to act. Ms. Green did theater mostly, until she took the part of the controversial film The Dreamers, where nudity and sex scenes was abundant. Her agent was worried she would not be taken seriously as a serious actress, yet this lead to the part in Kingdom of Heaven.
Director Martin Campbell picked Green at the last minute for the movie Casino Royale as Vespar. She was in good competition for Angelina Jolie and Charlize Theron was up for the part. Not your ordinary Bond girl. I didn't like her in the film but at least she was different. James Bond fell in love with her not because she was a woman but because she was his equal. She was smart and died for James Bond.
She appeared in a series Starz series Camelot as Morgan Le Fay, a witch and portrayed another witch in the updated version of Dark Shadows with Johnny Depp. She is in Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill For and a Showtime series Penny Dreadful. She doesn't want to work in Hollywood full time for she is afraid she will typecast as a femme fatal. She eagerly wants to go back to theater.
When you see Eva Green as Artemisia, naval officer for Xerxes in 300 Rise of an Empire, you will be in shock how evil she is!! The woman has her reasons. The raccoon eyes make her look even more depraved!! She is truly wicked and is proud of it!! She uses swords, seduction, decapitation and anything else to get what she wants-death to Greece!! She was wicked yet comical as the witch Angelique in Dark Shadows but nothing prepares you for this performance she gives. Worth the price of admission!!
She needs an award for Badass Bitch of the Year!! The actress should team up with another European actress Asia Agento (XXX with Vin Dinsel). They look like twins to me. I don't know if it would make money in the United States but overseas where is just as important maybe a hit. I don't think they are demanding as American audiences.
