- 1). Detach the back of the fan with a screwdriver. Lay it on a flat surface, back side facing up.
- 2). Attach the copper tubing with zip ties to the metal rails of the fan. Circle the copper tubing in a spiral fashion, securing it with a tie every few inches.
- 3). Attach one end of the copper tube to a rubber tube with the hose clamp. Repeat on the other end of the copper tube. The hose clamps will prevent water from leaking where the copper and rubber tubes meet.
- 4). Reattach the back of the fan to the original unit with a screwdriver.
- 5). Fill the water cooler with cold water.
- 6). Rest one of the rubber tubes in the water cooler, submerging it in the water as deep as possible. Place the other tube in the empty bucket.
- 7). Suck, with a deep inhaling breath, on the end of the rubber tube that rests in the empty bucket. Repeat until the water has reached this end of the tube. Turn on the fan.
