NATO Taking Sides in a Civil War in Libya - What About the No-Fly Zone Concept?

Well, what started out as a no-fly zone didn't exactly end up that way did it? And because Colonel Qaddafi is using human shields, NATO has already inadvertently killed some Libyan citizens who chose to be human shields of their own free will.
That doesn't look very good on Al Jazeera, or in the global media.
Who could've predicted that? Well just about everyone from the Council on Foreign Relations to the international law professors at Yale, to the CIA assessment center to military intelligence, and from the top correspondents in the battlespace to the top writers of Foreign Affairs Magazine.
I certainly hope no one in the leadership of our own nation was so naïve to think it would be that easy.
Yes, we could put up a no-fly zone and go no further, but that doesn't mean people wouldn't be killed on the ground or slaughtered by Khadafy's loyalist army.
In a recent article in the BBC "News Africa Section on June 29, 2011 there was an article titled; "Libya conflict: France air-dropped arms to rebels," which stated that; "France has air-dropped weapons to rebels, light arms and ammunition were sent to Berber tribal fighters in the Nafusa mountains in early June, the arms included rocket launchers and anti-tank missiles and did not inform its allies about the move.
At first they began by dropping humanitarian aid: food, water and medical supplies, but during the operation, the situation for the civilians on the ground worsened, so they dropped arms for self-defense, mostly ammunition.
" Indeed, I doubt if anyone is surprised, this stuff goes on all the time, but it makes the United States look rather foolish, along with the U.
S.
Congress and the Obama Administration, which all have egg on their face because the United States is not a neutral party, and we are involved with NATO in that nation.
It seems that the Obama Administration was very interested in tip-toeing to save face, and look good in the global media to the Arab League, which was/is watching closely.
It takes a lot a diplomatic effort to keep everyone happy any time you are involved in a war, of any type.
No one said before this adventure started that NATO would be taking sides in a Civil War Libya, although that was the most likely outcome, and guess what, here we are today.
Still, giving weapons to the rebels, is taking sides and as long as we've already done that we may as well go all the way in this escapade, and remove and extract Colonel Qaddafi for war crimes, try him in an international court, or if he resists, then he will be allowed to fight until the end.
We've already crossed the line, we can't go back now, we may as well win this one and call it good.
Indeed I hope you will please consider all this and think on it.
