Delivering by Land, Air Or Sea - The Fastest Way to Move Your Freight

For those who do not know, freight does not refer to one mode of transport.
In fact, if you are going to send goods via freight services, you will find that the items you have sent away will change transportation mode several times on route to their end destination.
Moving your goods through out the UK can be done a variety of different ways - by land, by air and by sea.
Using a freight forwarder or freight delivery / courier service gives you a wide range of options and in this article I describe the effectiveness of some of them and the speed involved.
In the UK freight delivery is most frequently carried out by road.
Most of the time  this type of delivery service is used in the commercial field.
More increasingly over the last few years road freight services are being used by domestic customers selling personal, over sized items on auction sites such as eBay.
This is relatively fast and cheap in comparison to airfrieght which although faster, is far more expensive.
If you are planning to use 'shipping' or by sea method of delivering goods, you should realise that sometime it does take a long time to get to the destination.
Shipping does take a while to get from point A to point B.
It is the most effective for large quantities going abroad ie containers and large pallets heavy items that are too heavy for air freight.
However, if you use the air freight method, you will find that you can have an almost overnight delivery to other countries, this obviously depends on the stopover's for the flight and the postal service of the country the parcel is flown to.
Air cargo will only take up to a certain weight 5000kg per pallet is often the cut off point.
Air freight is often the fastest way to deliver your freight or cargo but it's not always the cheapest hence why road transportation is used far more often in the UK.
