- 1). Remove the O-ring from around the neck of the original balloon. Remove the Balloon Brite light from inside the balloon neck. Discard the old balloon.
- 2). Roll up the neck of a new balloon. It is best to use a balloon with a 14-inch or larger circumference. Balloon packaging will usually state the circumference of the balloons inside the pack.
- 3). Place the O-ring around neck on the outside of the balloon past the rolled-up part. Slide it up as close to the part that gets round when you inflate the balloon as possible.
- 4). Insert the light into the new balloon with the clear rounded end pointed inside the balloon. You can see the small light bulb inside the clear rounded part.
- 5). Roll the neck of the balloon down over the light mechanism.
- 6). Slide the O-ring down the neck until it sits in the groove around the light mechanism inside, sealing the balloon.
- 7). Inflate the balloon by placing the end of the light mechanism on the valve of a helium tank and inflating it as you would any other balloon.
- 8). Tie a ribbon around the light mechanism just above the valve opening on the Balloon Brite light mechanism.
- 9). Press the tiny button through the balloon located near the top or lighted end of the Balloon Brite to turn the light on. One press makes the light blink slowly. Two presses makes it blink quickly. Three presses keeps the light on steadily. Four presses turns the light back off again.
