- 1). Go to a craft store to obtain the necessary wedding stationery supplies, card stock and envelopes. White or off-white are best for hand-made wedding stationery, as additional adornments can easily be added. Consider the wedding's overall theme and colors when selecting the card stock, as it will be the backer of the stationery. Purchase scrapbook paper with the desired themes, designs or colors. Finally, choose some additional supplies such as stamps, ribbon, lace or calligraphy pens.
- 2). Cut the card stock to the desired size with a paper cutter. Paper cutters are available for use at copy shops. Take into account folding, the envelopes and the invitation size when cutting the card stock.
- 3). Cut the scrapbook paper to allow a 1-inch border of the card stock to be seen around the edge of the stationery.
- 4). Punch two holes in the top of the card stock and scrapbook paper for attaching the two pieces. Tie a ribbon through the two holes to attach them. Continue decorating the stationery until it appears is as desired. Leave plenty of space for writing out the necessary information.
- 5). To add decorative paper to the inside of the invitation envelope, trace an unfolded envelope onto a piece of card stock. Remove 1/2 inch of space from the perimeter of the envelope's top fold. Cut out the pattern and trace it onto the back of the desired decorative paper. Glue the decorative paper into the envelope using a glue stick.
