If you are looking to do something unique with your friends this year, why not host a hot tub party? This is a great way to share your hot tub with friends and family members while providing a fun, entertaining evening for everyone. Here are 7 steps to make your party successful.
Step 1 - Choose a fun theme for your hot tub party
The first consideration when planning your hot tub party is selecting a fun party theme. I suggest a Hawaiian luau theme. Most everyone would enjoy that.
Step 2- Decorate your yard in keeping with the partys theme
Create a festive environment by decorating the area around the hot tub in keeping with the partys overall theme. That might call for tiki torches and fake palm trees, or pillar candles and mini bubbling fountains on the tables to create just the right ambience.
Step 3 - Plan other activities that will include those who may not want to get into the hot tub
Have some games or activities that those who are not in the portable hot tub can participate in as well. Arrange seating close by the hot tub so that as people are rotating in and out of the tub they will have convenient places to sit.
Steps 4 - Provide a variety of music to fit the theme
Having the right mix of music can really make or break the party. Depending on your budget, you might consider hiring a DJ, or at least putting someone in charge of the music. The music should help set the mood and create the right atmosphere for your event.
Step 5- Consider lighting or shade depending on the time of day
If the party is being held during the day, make sure that there is plenty of shade available so that your guests dont leave the party with a sunburn. If the party will be held at night, make sure that you have adequate lighting. The tiki-torches and candles that are part of the decorations can provide some lighting, but also make sure that walkways are well lit.
Step 6 - Keep refreshments and alcohol light
No party is complete without good food, however, heavy food, alcohol and hot tubs are not a good combination. Avoid heavy, fatty, and salty foods, but do provide some fun, light finger foods in keeping with the partys theme.
Step 7 - Have a supply of clean towels
Be prepared to provide clean towels in case your guests forget to bring their own. You might even consider having a few extra pairs of flip-flop sandals for guests to wear when they step out of the hot tub.
