HootSuite

• 1). Create a free account at HootSuite by clicking the "Sign Up" link on its website. Supply an email address, your name and a password in the fields provided, then click the "Create Account" button (see Resources).
  
  
• 2). Click the "Settings" link on the left dashboard. Click "Social Networks" and then "Add Social Network." A new window asks you to add your Twitter profile. Click "Connect with Twitter," then log into Twitter if you are not already logged in.
  
  
• 3). Select the image on your computer that you'd like to link to Twitter.
  
  
• 4). Drag the image onto the "Compose message..." field at the top of the HootSuite window. HootSuite automatically assigns it a website link using "http://ow.ly."
  
  
• 5). Add a short message you want displayed before or after the image link. Remember to separate your message from the link using a space. Click the "Submit" button. HootSuite automatically uploads the image to the website link and posts your message to your Twitter account.
  
  

TwitPic

• 1). Create a free TwitPic account by clicking the "Sign in with Twitter" button on the top of the TwitPic homepage (see Resources). Enter your Twitter username and password.
  
  
• 2). Click the "Upload Photo or Video" button on the top of the page.
  
  
• 3). Click the "Browse" button. Locate the picture you want to share on your computer, then click "OK."
  
  
• 4). Type a message to accompany your image when it is posted to your Twitter account using the field provided.
  
  
• 5). Click the "Upload" button. TwitPic uploads the picture to a TwitPic Web page and posts the link to your Twitter account. TwitPic also takes you to that Web page as soon as the photo has uploaded.
