- 1). Purchase an inflatable pool. You can find these pools in any home goods, discount or warehouse store. Pools come in various sizes; your choice will depend primarily on the number of likely users. Keep in mind that when you buy the pool, it will be deflated.
- 2). Read the owner's manual carefully so that you are aware of all the pool's components. The manual will also allow for trouble-free installation and alert you to any safety-related issues.
- 3). Place the deflated pool in a designated area outside your house. Choose a place that is flat, hard and without any stones, pebbles or other potentially sharp objects. If possible, keep the pool in an area that has some type of protective roof in case of rain.
- 4). Close the drain holes of your pool. Attach one end of the filter tube to the side of the pool and connect the other end of the tube to the filter device. Use any kind of air compressor and begin to inflate your pool. Depending on the size of your pool, this can take up to an hour.
- 5). Fill the pool with water. For convenience, you can use a water hose connected to a nearby water source. Refer to the owner's manual to find out the optimal height of the water. As an added option you can add some chlorine to sterilize the water before use.
