- 1). Call 1-800-633-4227 to get reliable and trustworthy information about drug plans specific to your needs. The adviser will ask you a series of question to get a complete understanding of your medical needs. He will recommend a specific type of plan and average costs to enroll.
- 2). Visit your local senior center as an alternative to the phone. Senior centers occasionally have social workers on-site to provide you with information and resources for applying to Medicare Part D.
- 3). Visit the Medicare Plan Finder online (see Resources) and enter the appropriate information in the field for recommended plans in your area. This will give you an idea of the types of coverage available and the associated costs.
