- 1). Measure the width of the window. Make sure that the curtain rod will extend at lease as far as the width of the window.
- 2). Install one bracket above the left side of the window by screwing it into the trim The screws should enter the top of the trim at a 45-degree angle. Repeat for the bracket on the right side of the window.
- 3). Unscrew the finial from one end of the curtain rod. Slide both drape panels onto the rod, making sure to catch each grommet. Reattach the finial and place the curtain rod in the curved rod holders on the bracket. The drapery panels should be on the inside of the brackets and be able to slide freely.
- 4). Adjust the brackets if necessary by loosening the screws and sliding the brackets to the desired height. Once you're satisfied, tighten the screws to hold the bracket in place.
