One of our cowboy heroes, the Lone Ranger was one of the original good guys and when portrayed by Clayton Moore, he was someone that all kids could look up to. Clayton Moore also lived the good guy life and was said to never to do anything to tarnish the image of the Lone Ranger.

The Lone Ranger, one of our childhood memories, died of a heart attack on December 28, 1999. He was one of our true cowboy heroes, the man in the white hat riding off into the sunset.

Moore started in the role in 1949 and, except for a brief hiatus in the early fifties, lived that role for the rest of his life. He may have starred in other features, but he was always and ultimately the Lone Ranger.
