- 1). Place the pepper on a cutting board and put on a pair of latex gloves to protect your hands from the juice of the pepper.
- 2). Slice the pepper in half length wise using a sharp knife. Use the side of the knife to scrape all the seeds from the pepper. Chop or slice the peppers and use them as planned.
- 3). Taste the food after adding the pepper to see if you'd like any more heat. Add seeds little by little to add heat, tasting after each time you add more. Remember that the seeds are very powerful and just a few seeds will add a noticeable change to the dish.
