Islam and the fifth principle in Islam: Responsibility is personal and individual!

If only God is to be worshipped in Islam and to be obeyed with the choice of good in preference of evil then the responsibility is individual, for two persons may not have the same attitude nor the same responses to good and evil.

In Islam you are responsible personally and individually before God! No other person will take a some of your burden which you have earned in your life. No one else can share with you your sins, your mistakes, your faults. No one else has the same graph of life, of reactions of actions. You alone thus is charged with the task of the divine message and hence with the responsibility of such a charge.

Obedience or disobedience, doing good or evil, belief or disbelief are all personal and not communal in their degrees. They can be the same in quality but in degrees they differ. This is why Islam, and for that Judaism or Christianity are individualistic religions.

If you choose to practice prayers one time or ten times in the day it is your own choice and accordingly you shall be rewarded. If you choose to steal money or kill a person then it is your own responsibility. No one else can be held responsible for your murder or theft, or even the ten prayers you practice every day. After all, there can be no more injustice done to any person than to reward him or her or punish him or her for the good deeds or bad deeds of another one!

Why should you be responsible for my deeds and why should I be responsible for yours?

Why should Gandhi be responsible for what Hitler has done? Why should Albert Schweitzer be held responsible for what Paul Pot has done? Why should Mother Theresa be judged for what Saddam Hussein has done? Why should Abbe Pierre be held to account for what Ben Ladden has done?

Every human being has thus his own Tabular Rasa to fill in. Everyone individual has his own personal file and on the day of reckoning his or her file shall be presented before the divine tribunal and according to this file a human being shall be judged.

Likewise, in terms of reward and punishment, no two individuals are judged in the same way with the same reward or punishment. Those who earn more good than evil, their record shall stand witness against them or for them. Then everyone is in accordance to his efforts, his thoughts his belief or disbelief shall be rewarded accordingly.

No two persons are identical in their thoughts, beliefs, feelings and actions, and hence no two persons are equal in treatment, in judgment and in reward or punishment.

From this we can conclude the individuality of monotheistic religions in accordance with everyman's reactions and responses to the divine message.

In Islam every individual person is separate from the others. He or she shall have an individual life, with an individual record and with individual consequences.
