- 1). Unplug the electrical cord of the Kenmore washer from the electrical outlet before attempting to replace the front panel.
- 2). Remove the end caps of the washer by pressing in on the caps and pulling back to detach them from the control console.
- 3). Unfasten the screws on the front of the control console with a screwdriver, and flip the console back so that it is resting on the rear hinges.
- 4). Unplug the lid switch connector from the top of the front panel by hand, and pry the clips up that are on the top of the cabinet near the back with a screwdriver.
- 5). Pull the front panel away from the washer cabinet and set it out of the way, placing the new front panel into position on the washer cabinet.
- 6). Secure the front panel by placing the metal clips over the top and snapping them into position.
- 7). Plug the lid switch connector into the top of the front panel, and flip the control console back down over the panel, securing the console with screws.
- 8). Place the end caps back over the control console, snapping them into position, and plug the electrical cord of the Kenmore washer into the electrical outlet.
