After You Build Traffic Will The Money Come?

When you begin to write online the usual focus is to make some money for your effort and you look for the fastest and quickest route to this money. For most writers and website owners, they look to Google AdSense to make money, but they forget the more important factor, traffic to your writing, or content, must be steady and must have a reason to go there and go there often. Let us take for example a writer who has a blog, not new, but has some traffic, but does not make much money.

In this case if you only get 1,000 impressions per month, which also include your own, I would really be surprised you would make any money at all. See, for most big blog writers, they say that they get thousands of visitor (traffic) a day. I would be very surprised if based on your one blog which you have, you will make more than ten dollars on Google AdSense a month. So... you want to make money you need more. More Traffic, more links, more time and of course you would love more money.

To get traffic you need some very good links and there are countless ways to get links but to begin with you need to look for places to go to. Some will suggest social networking sites, or social bookmarking sites, but often while this does get you traffic that you want, it will not build enough traffic to get you the money you envision. Social networking is a must and it is a great beginning, but you now need to look for more ways to links.

The next places most look to is places such as RedGage or other sites like Xomba where you can add you link or a blog and then make some money from it, either with impressions from visitors or through Google AdSense ads. Either way it is important to build these links slowly and carefully of course. Google and other search engines like the links you develop and that other people help develop for you.

Traffic also needs a reason to stay once you have created the links to your sites, and if on a blog you only have one or two posts a week this will not work as most newer blogs-- say less than a year-- take a long time to build and they need to be interlinked within the blog posts. The longer you have traffic on your blog the more likely you will make money with it. Again, build your links with care and you will have traffic on a regular basis.
