- 1). Wipe the outside of the hearing aid mold with a soft cloth.
- 2). Use a small toothpick to carefully remove any earwax or other debris from the opening of the hearing aid mold.
- 3). Remove the hearing aid mold from the soft tubing.
- 4). Soak the hearing aid mold in a diluted mixture of warm water and mild soap for several hours to loosen any additional debris.
- 5). Rub a toothbrush against any remaining debris to dislodge it.
- 6). Air dry the hearing aid mold completely before reattaching it to the tubing. Alternatively, ask your audiologist for a bulb blower to dry the hearing aid mold by blowing air through it. Then reattach it.
