I'd love to have lots of time and money so that I could tour the world in search of the very Best Bed and Breakfast Inns.
Can you imagine all of the experiences that you would encounter? But, since I don't have lots of time and the economy has made me cost conscious I've learned to do some investigative work on my own.
Here are a few of the steps that I use to check out Bed and Breakfasts.
Of course, My first step is to go to the internet.
If you don't have a computer or internet access, you can usually get online down at your local library for free.
Find the search tool or engine and type in your search.
A whole world of information is there for you to sift through.
You can change the search by adding a word which would bring more information to your attention.
One example of a word to add would be "reviews".
That should concentrate your search on the experiences of former vacationers of the Inn.
I've found that if a large percentage of vacationers have had a good experience, chances are really good that I will too.
Although reviews have good information, I never let one bad review spoil my opportunity.
An exception to this rule would be if the reviewer had a horrid time.
Unless I called the Innkeeper and learned differently, I'd probably just scratch that Inn off of my list.
My decision is usually based on what sort of things I am looking for.
Sometimes I just want to be secluded and relax.
Other times I'd prefer being closer to the area attractions.
I may want to take a canoe trip down the river.
One thing is for sure, you won't be certain that you have found the right place until you actually stay there.
