Bormio is a tiny comune in Lombardy region of Italian Alps near the Swiss border.

In 1985 and 20 years later in 2005, the town was in the center of sport fans attention as the FIS Alpine World Ski Championship host.
Bormio ski pista called Stelvio is one of the toughest downhill courses in the Cup.
