- 1). Use the phrasebook to familiarize yourself with the way that the Russian alphabet looks. There will be transliteration into English letters to give a close pronunciation guide. Don't be dismayed about the difference in alphabets.
- 2). Practice saying the Russian words and phrases in the book out loud. The more you speak, the easier it will be for the language to feel more natural. Russian is a beautiful language to listen to. It's rhythms are almost musical.
- 3). Listen to the Russian language CD. Hearing a native speaker will help solidify your new vocabulary and strengthen your practice time.
- 4). Build your Russian vocabulary by mastering at least five new words or phrases everyday from the phrasebook.
