- 1). Dilute the baking soda with pure hot water in the bathtub. Allow the water to flow freely for about twenty minutes before entering. Sit in the tub for a good half hour, to allow for the baking soda to penetrate within the body. Think about positive actions that you can take for managing your pain for the next day. Repeat simple inspiring words that are easy to remember for the week.
- 2). Write each feeling or emotion that you're feeling at the time in your journal. Ponder your deepest inner emotions and be specific about the feelings you enter into the journal. Hypothesize different positive scenarios of how life would be with a pain free day. Scribble words if you have to, for the most complete emotions.
- 3). Create round circles with your colored pens and enter each emotion that you are encountering. Use a different color for each circle and place a black line between each circle. Connecting the circles places all of your emotions and feeling together in an orderly fashion.
- 4). Light one or two candles in the room while journaling, creating an ambiance that is conducive to pondering your thoughts. Watch the lit candle for several minutes while dreaming and being aware of your inner emotions. Write down the senses that arise from staring into the candles. Your feelings will quickly associate with the burning and smell of the beautiful candles before you.
- 5). Listen to ambient music while expressing your feelings in your journal, ensuring the flow of your current emotions without interruption. Sink your body and mind into the spirit of the tunes and you will explore emotions and feelings that you didn't even know that you had. Write those feelings in your journal as you become aware of them.
