Step By Step Guide In Painting Your Refrigerator

Is your white refrigerator starting to look yellow and old already? Do you want your fridge to match with the design scheme of your kitchen? Why don't you try painting it? Painting your fridge should be easy if you have the proper materials and you know the right steps.
Here is a guide to help you improve the look of your refrigerator: Step 1: Choose a good color of fridge.
If you don't want a big change in the color of your fridge and you just want to hide the scratches or chipped enamel of the appliance, you can choose a color closest to the current color of your fridge.
You can also try a whole new kitchen design scheme by mixing and matching.
Choose a complimentary color based from the color of your kitchen walls.
Step 2: When buying paint, ask the seller what type of paint is best used for metal.
Make sure it will have a nice finish or a nice gloss after it has dried up.
Also choose the one that does not contain toxic chemicals.
There are eco-friendly paints today that are made from odourless materials.
You can also buy gloss enamel paint.
Step 3: Unplug the fridge and remove all the contents.
Wipe up the excess moisture inside and outside.
Let it rest for at least one day to make sure that it doesn't get damaged.
Before painting it, do not buy perishable goods yet or make sure you have a separate cooler where you can store fresh produces.
Step 4: Clean the exterior of the fridge first and get rid of hanging paint or loose enamels.
Use a damp cloth to get rid of dirt or molds.
If the molds are difficult to remove, mix distilled white vinegar with water and treat the area with this cleaning solution.
Vinegar can help dissolve molds.
Step 5: Use sand paper to make the surface smoother.
This will also get rid of hanging paint or loose enamel of the fridge.
Rub the sandpaper lightly on the surface of the fridge.
Step 6: Place masking tape on the edges of the areas you want to leave unpainted such as the back of the fridge.
Step 7: Pour the gloss enamel paint on a wide paint tray.
Dip the sponge roller and shake off the dripping excess.
Start rolling it on the fridge.
Follow just one direction for even coating.
To paint the edges easily, use a small brush.
Also fill up any gaps with the brush.
Allow the paint to dry completely.
Remove the tape.
